Read why Gippsland Lean Beef wont register as organic ( posted May 7, 2009 )

Gippsland Lean Beef refuses to register as organic because of all the loopholes in the system and the use of synthetic compounds to produce animals and crops.

We produce beef and lamb NATURALLY in a FREE RANGE environment.

How can a bunch of pen pushers write an organic standard. Do they actually know that cattle dont eat grains in a natural environment. If they are given rumen manipulators they will digest grain. Maybe the term “Synthetically Organic” might be more appropriate.

We grow our animals “Naturally”. Many producers and retailers hide behind the term “Organic”, but no one really knows what it means. The term is used loosely to bump up prices at the cash register.

We all know what ”NATURAL” and “FREE RANGE” means. You cant hide behind those terms. It means AS IN NATURE IN A FREE RANGE ENVIRONMENT. Whether you are buying form Gippsland Lean Beef or other producers, get to know them, ask as many questions as you can. Ask retailers to back their claims. Dont waste your hard earned money.

The following link to the Weekly Times will give our customers a small insight as to what is going on in our industry.

Rudd Gov’t Stimulus Package Payment ( posted March 13, 2009 )

Many people have voiced concerns as to whether the economic stimulus package payments will have any effect on propping up our economy. They believe that our money will go overseas anyway because everything is made there.

We at Gippsland Lean Beef believe that it will stimulate the economy provided we try and buy Australian made products. O.K they do cost a little bit more but the quality is significantly better than those goods from our overseas counterparts. Remember the old saying you get what you pay for.

If you are looking at a great way of spending your economic stimulus package payment, without worrying whether your money will go overseas or not, give Gippsland Lean Beef a try. Our products and inputs are wholly Australian made.

We guarantee that the majority of your money will stay in Australia.

How can that be ?…you say everything we buy is made overseas.  Not if you buy from Gippsland Lean Beef.

Our philosophy right from inception was to keep everything local as much as possible. We reckon we’ve done a good job at that.

We have endeavoured to source all our inputs from companies that are either Australian or manufacture in Australia. Every input we use is manufactured in Australia. Therefore every dollar you spend goes into keeping jobs in Australia.

- Our cattle and lambs are bred and born in South Gippsland Victoria

- They feed on the lush pastures of South Gippsland Victoria.

- They are transported by local carriers.

- They are processed at a Gippsland abbattoir.

- Further processing is expertly carried out by our team of butchers, apprentices and packers in Gippsland Victoria.

-All our packaging film, foam boxes, trays, labelling and printing are made/manufactured in Victoria.

- All our Sausage mix is manufactured in Knoxfield Victoria.

 - All our sausage casings are manufactured in Bathurst NSW.

- All our pack deliveries are carried out by a locally owned company in Knoxfield Victoria.

- All our stationary is printed in Victoria

So there you have it. There are businesses out there that use Australian made products and services in order to support our economy. If you would like to help drive our economy out of this recession, support your local business and buy Australian made.

So why not use use your Economic Stimulus Package payment and buy Gippsland Lean Beef. Not only will you help stimulate the economy, your family will enjoy a great healthy meal as well.
